Prime Minister of Republic of Srpska Zeljka Cvijanovic met today in Bratislava with Deputy Prime Minister and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Slovak Republic, Miroslav Lajcák.
The meeting which was held in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Slovakia focused on the current political and economic situation in BiH with special reference to the accession of BiH to the European Union.
On this occasion it was emphasized that the matters of implementation of the Human Rights Court in Strasbourg in Sejdic-Finci case and the mechanism of coordination remain dominant issues for BiH on its accession path to the EU.
It has been stressed during the meeting that the European Union expected the commitment to these matters on the part of BiH and that both matters, Sejdic-Finaci case and the coordination mechanism, should be resolved at institutional level referring to both institutions of BiH and of the European Union.
BiH has never ceased to be in the sphere of interest of the European Union because of the fact that the format of talks practiced up to now has been terminated and the new dynamics of talks in future is foreseen.
The interlocutors of the meeting also exchanged their opinions regarding future activities in the current year which is the election year both in BiH and in the European Union as well as about events in Ukraine.
