The Government of the Republic of Srpska at its 66th Session, held today in Banjaluka, confirmed the Draft Law on Prijedor City, Draft Law on Bijeljina City, Draft Law on Trebinje City and Draft Law on Doboj City.

The Government of the Republic of Srpska confirmed the Draft Law on Amendments to the Law on Territorial Organization of the Republic of Srpska.

The Government of the Republic of Srpska earlier adopted the Information on Request of Municipalities of Bijeljina, Doboj, Prijedor and Trebinje to award City Status and tasked the Ministry of Administration and Local Self-governance to prepare the Draft Law on granting City Status to the Municipalities of Bijeljina, Doboj, Trebinje and Prijedor and the Draft Law on Amendments to the Law on Territorial Organization of the Republic of Srpska.

The Government of the Republic of Srpska today adopted the Information of Working Group for Workers Social Care Program Implementation, for social welfare protection of workers of  “Postanska stedionica” (Postal savings) JSC, Banja Luka.

The Government of the Republic of Srpska also adopted the Information on expressed intention for purchasing shares of the "Krajinapetrol" JSC, Banja Luka.

The Government of the Republic of Srpska agrees that shares of the "Krajinapetrol" JSC, Banja Luka, owned by the Share Fund of the Republic of Srpska JSC, Banja Luka and the Restitution Fund of the Republic of Srpska JSC, Banja Luka be included for sale in the Work Plan of the Investment Development Bank of the Republic of Srpska in 2012.

The Government has instructed the Investment Development Bank of the Republic of Srpska to set up, in accordance with the Article 6 of Law on Privatization of State owned-capital in enterprises, a special privatization program for sale of shares of "Krajinapetrol" JSC, Banja Luka owned by the Republic of Srpska’s Shares Fund, which will provide the auction for shares package through the Banja Luka Stock Exchange, as the privatization method, and make this package joined to the shares of the Republic of Srpska’s Restitution Fund JSC, Banja Luka.

The Government of the Republic of Srpska adopted the Decision on Issuance of the Republic of Srpska’s Bonds for the settlement of liabilities in respect of tangible and intangible damage caused during the war period of 20.05.1992 to 19.06.1996 for the sixth issuance of bonds.

According to the adopted Decision, the value of the sixth issuance of the War Damage Bonds was BAM 55.4 million, and it will include 8000 creditors (based on 687 judicial enforcement decisions, 3678 extra-judicial settlements, and 363 first-instance war judgments).

The maturity for these securities is 13 years from the date of issue, with 3 year-grace period that is included in the repayment period. Payment of principal on the bonds will be carried out in 10 equal installments, starting from the ninth year before the due date.

The issuance of the Republic of Srpska’с bonds for the settlement of liabilities in respect of tangible and intangible damage will be done on the 31st May 2012, and the Central Register of Securities shall notify the creditors through ownership statements that will be delivered to their home addresses.

The Government of the Republic of Srpska adopted the Decision on Establishment of the Youth Council of the Republic of Srpska.

The Decision of the Government of the Republic of Srpska prescribes the establishment of the Youth Council of the Republic of Srpska, for the purpose of giving opinion on expert issues in the field of the Youth Policy, as an advisory body of the Government.

The Council, within its scope of competency, recommends and reviews on: objectives, policies and measures proposed by the Youth Policy; programs financed from the RS Budget and budgets of local self-governance units; youth activities that are of the priority interest for the Republic of Srpska and local self-governance units; criteria for allocation of funds from the RS Budget and budgets of local self-governance units intended to implement the programs established by the Youth Policy; the Council will also exercise other activities if authorized by the Government of the Republic of Srpska and professional activities at the request of the Ministry.
