On February 11, 2015, Dutch Ambassador H.E. Mr. Jurriaan Kraak and Hungarian Ambassador H.E. Mr. Jozsef Negyesi paid separate visits to RS Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management. The objective of Ambassadors’ visit related to the deepening of bilateral cooperation in the field of agriculture.
Representatives of the Ministry informed the Ambassadors about the priorities of development in the areas of agriculture, food industry and water management, as well as proposed potential projects and topics for cooperation. One of the requests for assistance addressed to both Embassies related to the need for technical expertise in the field of flood protection, monitoring and early warning, but also to the technical support in the field of creating the system of quality, land policy and harmonizing with the EU legislative. Particular emphasis was placed on the support to co-financing private investments in the areas of agriculture and forestry and also they talked about the need for further intensive cooperation in these and other fields.
