The Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management met with the World Bank Country Manager for Bosnia and Herzegovina and Montenegro - Ms. Tatiana Proskuryakova on February 18, 2015.
On the meeting they discussed the ongoing projects funded by the loans from the World Bank in the area of agriculture and rural development, which are related to irrigation, development of agriculture and rural areas, forestry, reconstruction of embankments, and urgent elimination of the consequences of flooding. Both parties expressed their satisfaction with the existing level of cooperation when it comes to implementation of the projects.
During the meeting they also talked about new potential projects which would require additional funding for investments in the field of irrigation, as well as about the continuation of institutional development and modernization of farms, and also development of Advisory Service and other areas.
On this occasion Ms. Proskuryakova pointed out that World Bank was preparing a new Strategic Action Program for BIH and she announced a visit from Bank’s technical teams in March which would work on preparing the new strategic framework for the future.
