Minister of Economic Relations and Regional Cooperation of the Republic of Srpska Zlatan Klokić attended today, Friday (30 June 2017) a meeting with Italian investors and the Italian Ambassador at the assembly hall of the Municipality of Mrkonjić Grad.
In introductory remarks, Klokić emphasized the importance of this Municipality that had invested significant efforts and resources in improving business ambiance in order to attract new investments and provide new workplaces while maintaining the existing.
'With Italy, the Republic of Srpska has good relations and a very good foreign trade partner,' said Klokić and added that this was supported also by foreign trade value of one billion marks.
According to him, Italian investors significantly influence and contribute to strengthening the economy in the territory of the Municipality of Mrkonjić Grad, as substantiated by the fact that there are three Italian companies operating in this Municipality as follows: R-S Silicon, a silicon-metal producing factory, Prowood d.o.o. wood processing and chair and veneer manufacturing factory and Al.Fe.Ma d.o.o. producing metal accessories.
Klokić said that this Municipality was part of the Investor Aftercare Project which includes visiting companies, identifying issues faced by businessmen in their operation and seeking the most efficient solutions for those issues both at the local and regional level.
'We hope that investors would recognize the potentials offered by the Municipality of Mrkonjić Grad, which obtained a business-friendly certificate (BFC SEE) in May 2016.
The meeting was organized by the Municipality and attended, in addition to Klokić, also by the RSNA Vice-President Željka Stojičić and the Italian Ambassador to BiH Nicola Minasi.
The meeting was followed by a panel discussion where experiences were exchanged and ideas were proposed to improve doing business.
