Minister of Economic Relations and Regional Cooperation of the Republic of Srpska Zlatan Klokić and his associates met today, Tuesday (20 February 2018), with representatives of the World Bank Group, concerning preparation of the new Business Environment Strengthening Project (BESP).
They discussed priorities of the Ministry of Economic Relations and Regional Cooperation for the coming period relevant to business environment improvement.
Some of the key activities were mentioned, such as establishment of business e-registration in the Republic of Srpska, establishment of a single contact point for business which would enable access to a multitude of information necessary for doing business (starting and performing an activity, with a particular emphasis on services).
They also discussed establishment of an incentive register and other activities that the Ministry is planning to improve, aimed at strengthening the competitiveness of local economy, through cooperation with local self-government units and the economy.
The new project should also include a component on policies of innovativeness improvement, which was particularly welcomed in view of the relevance of the segment for the improvement of competitiveness of local economy.
