Minister of Economic Relations and Regional Cooperation of the Republic of Srpska, Zlatan Klokić and his associates met today, Monday (15 May 2017) at 11:30 hrs, at his office with H.E. Negyesi Jozsef, Hungarian Ambassador to BiH, and Mr Hetei Peter, Counsellor for Economic Affairs at the Hungarian Embassy.
The main topic of the discussion was the potential to intensify business cooperation, and a particular focus was placed on the interest of Hungarian companies in investing in the energy and construction sector of the Republic of Srpska. Klokić presented the advantages of investing in the Republic of Srpska and potential fields of cooperation to the Ambassador.
A propos, the volume of foreign trade between the Republic of Srpska and Hungary totalled BAM 183.45 million in 2016, ranking Hungary the ninth among the countries of largest foreign trade turnover with the Republic of Srpska generated in 2016.
Both interlocutors agreed that there was potential for greater business cooperation.
A business delegation from Hungary is planned to visit the Republic of Srpska during this month, as a step towards establishing stronger economic links.
