On 25 April 2017, representatives
of the Ministry of Economic Relations and Regional Cooperation, in cooperation
with the representatives of the City of Banja Luka, visited companies Nora
Plast d.o.o and Nova
DI Vrbas d.o.o. in the territory of the
City of Banja Luka. The visits are a part of the 2017 Republic of Srpska Investor
Discussions with the representatives of those companies covered outstanding issues and problems they are facing in their operation, manners to overcome them, plans for business expansion and proposals for improvement of business environment. Both companies are operating successfully and planning further employment.
Company Nora Plast d.o.o. specializes in manufacturing a wide range of flexible packaging including foils, bags, garbage bags, freezer bags. With its educated staff and modern equipment it can offer a wide range of top quality polyethylene packaging within shortest delivery times. They are exporting about 50% of their products to European market.
Company Nova DI Vrbas d.o.o. is a successor of the former wood processing leader Vrbas which went bankrupt. Manufacturing in the newly founded factory restarted in 2008, when the assets of Vrbas were bought by company Niskogradnja d.o.o. After large investments in the facilities and equipment, Nova DI Vrbas d.o.o. returned to the market with a distinctive design and quality of its products in a complete technological process, from timber cutting to final products. They are exporting their products to the markets of Austria and Germany.
Just like previous visits, this one was also implemented through the collaboration network for investor aftercare in the Republic of Srpska which comprises representatives of the Ministry of Economic Relations and Regional Cooperation and municipal coordinators from the 25 local self-government units currently involved in the Republic of Srpska Investor Aftercare Program.
