On 9 October 2019, the National Assembly of the Republic of Srpska hosted a workshop within the TWINNING project of European Union (EU) support to BiH parliaments in the context of European integration.
At the workshop, representatives of Hungary, the Czech Republic and Slovakia shared their experiences regarding the harmonization of their legislation with the EU acquis in the field of environmental protection.
In addition to representatives of the National Assembly of the Republic of Srpska, the workshop was attended by representatives of the Ministry of European Integration and International Cooperation, the Ministry of Spatial Planning, Construction and Ecology and the Republic Institute for the Protection of Cultural, Historical and Natural Heritage.
As a reminder, a TWINNING project is a cooperation tool between a public administration in a beneficiary country and the equivalent institution in an EU Member State. It aims to support the transposition and implementation of the EU acquis in the beneficiary country.
The currently ongoing project is funded by the European Union and implemented by the parliaments of Hungary, Austria and Croatia.
