The Minister of Industry, Energy and Mining of the Republic of Srpska Petar Djokic and the Minister of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations of BiH Mirko Sarovic, together with their associates and colleagues from the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina determined today in Sarajevo that imposing the sanctions against Bosnia and Herzegovina is not acceptable because the key goals under the Energy Community Treaty cannot be achieved in this way.
During the meeting, the Ministers showed willingness to work on the full implementation of the Third Energy Package in the field of gas, as well as on its transposition into the legislation of BiH.
It was agreed that the line Ministries will propose the concrete measures for this matter in the next seven days, and that the Ministerial Meeting should be held again, not later than October 12th, on which a coordinated stance of BiH should be taken on the upcoming Ministerial Conference in Tirana, which is planned for October 16th.
The topics of this meeting were also the measures and activities that will accelerate the implementation of the Third Energy Package, as well as the measures for closing the cases initiated by the Energy Community against BiH.
Besides the representatives of the Ministry of Industry, Energy and Mining of the Republic of Srpska, the meeting was also attended by the representatives of the Ministry of Spatial Planning, Civil Engineering and Ecology of the Republic of Srpska and the representatives of the Ministry of Economic Relations and Regional Cooperation.
The meeting was attended by the Secretary Stipo Buljan and the Assistant Minister of the Ministry of Industry, Energy and Mining of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina Amira Pintul.
