Minister of Industry, Energy and Mining Petar Đokić spoke today in Banja Luka with the State Secretary of the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Serbia, Miloš Petrović on strengthening the economic cooperation between the Republic of Srpska and Serbia.
The meeting has once again highlighted the importance of cooperation of the Republic of Serbia and the Republic of Srpska, which was confirmed by the Agreement on Special Parallel Relations, which was signed in 2006.
The interlocuters agreed that the common goal of the meeting was to strengthen the capacity and competitiveness of small and medium-sized enterprises, as well as the economy in general, which was defined in the strategic documents and policies of both governments.
Minister Đokić said that the Republic of Srpska Government has recognized that sector as an important one and that a large number of Forum participants had showed an interest in the promotion of stronger cooperation aiming at joint appearance in the markets.
'The Republic of Srpska Government and the ministry will provide full support aiming at strengthening the cooperation between authorities and companies and successful implementation of joint projects, because if we strengthen our economy, we will have a better political, but also any other position in the world,' said Minister Đokić.
The meeting was also attended by Assistant Minister Zoran Savić, Director of the National Agency for Regional Development Vesna Mizdrak, Director of the Agency for Development of Small and Medium Enterprises of the Republic of Srpska Marinko Đukić, and Director of PE 'Ski Resorts of Serbia', Dejan Ljevnaić.
