The Minister of Industry, Energy and Mining Petar Djokic attended today in Bijeljina the ceremony marking 71st anniversary of the company 'Orao' Bijeljina and officialy opened new facility for aggregates testing and measurement room.
'Orao is one of the most important companies in the Republic of Srpska and we are dedicating maximal attention striving to its growth and following the initiatives and demands of the management in order to improve the business operations of this important company,' said the Minister Djokic reminding that Orao is owned by the Republic of Srpska.
The Minister emphasized that, during the previous months, the management and the Ministry had been working intensely on finding quality solution for future business operations of 'Orao'.
'Our intention is for Orao to deal with overhaul of engines for helicopters during 2016 and years to come and thus provide steady development in new working conditions,' said the Minister Djokic emphasizing that some additional funds are required for the new development plans implementation.
The Minister pointed out that the Government of the Republic of Srpska was ready to follow and help the Orao to provide necessary means in order to fulfill strategic plans for the next period.
The Minister Djokic said that the part of the working process, meaning reconstruction of helicopters, would be carried out in other facility that Orao didn't have till now. He believes that this will ensure a solid foundation for safe future of this company.
The Minister Djokic said that, except for the Orao, the Republic of Srpska has many interesting companies in the field of military industry.
"We will dedicate our attention to those companies as we did with 'Zrak' in Teslic which will soon be a part of Serbian SDPR, a company that is very known and recognized in the field of military industry," said the Minister Djokic.
The 'Orao' company has 410 employees, more than 100 of whom has university degrees and the new employees will be employed in the days to come.
In 2015 'Orao' has invested BAM 1.200 000 from loans and 1.100 000 BAM from its own equity in development and equipment procurement.
