At a joint session of Governments of Republic of Srpska and Serbia, which was held on 20 September 2014, the Ministry of Trade and Tourism of Republic of Srpska and the Ministry of Trade, Tourism and Telecommunications of Republic of Serbia signed a Memorandum of Cooperation in the field of tourism.
The basis of the Memorandum is to enable improvement of mutual tourist traffic, promote cooperation between the relevant entities and organizations operating in the field of tourism, and encouraging the distribution of tourist promotional materials, through the activities of the National Tourist Organization of Serbia and National Tourist Organization of Republic of Srpska.
The aim is to encourage cooperation in the field of investments in tourism, through the exchange of information, in accordance with national legislation and within investment opportunities. The combined forces will participate in the creation of joint tourism product, which will through appearances at tourism fairs to be competitive in the third tourist markets.
This memorandum is based on the provisions of the Agreement on the establishment of special parallel relations between Republic of Serbia and Republic of Srpska, signed on 26 September 2006 in Banja Luka, and continues to develop and strengthen bilateral ties, friendship and mutually beneficial cooperation.
