Minister of Finance of the Republika Srpska, Zora Vidovic, met today in Banja Luka with a World Bank delegation, led by Head of the Resident World Bank Office, Emanuel Salinas and spoke about health care reform process.
Through cooperation between the line ministries of Health and Finance, the Health Insurance Fund, and Health Institutions with the World Bank, we made significant progress in the field of health sector reform during the last five months in order to improve the quality of health care in a financially sustainable manner.
"This progress, which includes financial sustainability and improving the quality and efficiency of health care, and strengthening governance and accountability, encourage us to bring the reform processes to a successful end," said the Minister, adding that reforms in the health sector are necessary to maintain fiscal and financial stability and positive effects on citizens.
Thanks to the World Bank for its support, the Minister of Finance stated that partnership at the level of local communities and at the level of B&H is very important for successful implementation of the projects.
Representatives of the World Bank expressed their support for the Government's activities in the reform processes that are in line with the plans and strategy of the World Bank's Partnership with B&H, and announced that they expect the formation of institutions at the BH level as soon as possible and the successful completion of the started projects.
