The Government of the Republic of Srpska adopted today during its 58th session held in Banja Luka the Decision on allocation of funds for social welfare of workers so that the funds in the amount of BAM 895,000.97 would be used for payment of pension and disability insurance contributions for 256 workers from 20 companies who lost their jobs in the process of bankruptcy or liquidation of their companies.
Out of the mentioned amount, BAM 159,210.40 will be transferred for individual payment of pension and disability insurance contributions for 23 workers from 13 companies who have applied for the public call of the Pension and Disability Insurance Fund of Republic of Srpska and who would after this payment, qualify for the age pension and the remaining funds in the amount of BAM 735.790,57 are intended for payment of pension and disability insurance contributions for 233 workers from 7 bankrupt companies.
In the course of 2019, a total of 1,507 workers were included in this social welfare program of workers.
The Government of Republic of Srpska has amended the Decision on prioritization of projects from the 2020 Public Investment Program of the Republic of Srpska according to which the Project "Construction of an Orthodox Spiritual Center in Mrkonjići" in Trebinje is included in the priority projects for which the Government will allocate BAM 800,000.
The amendments referred also to "Continuation of the project of rehabilitation, adaptation, reconstruction and construction of the Zaluzani MoI Training Center" in the amount of BAM 3 million.
The Government considered the Information on the Requirements of the Trade Unions of workers in local self-government, of administration and public services and of public administration with regard to conclusion of Special Collective Agreement for Employees in the area of local self-government.
The Government of Republic of Srpska has agreed to extend the validity of the Special Collective Agreement for one year and to continue the talks about the trade union requirements in the coming period.
The Government adopted Information on International Projects - PISA (International Student Achievement Assessment Program), TIMSS (International Trends in Mathematics and Science) and PIRLS (International Reading Literacy Research).
The position of the Government of the Republic of Srpska is to ensure the participation of the Republic of Srpska in the aforementioned international projects in accordance with the constitutional and legal competencies of the Republic of Srpska in the field of education.
It is the responsibility of the Ministry of Education and Culture to conduct the PISA testing cycle in 2021 along with other education systems in BiH so that the Republic of Srpska education system is visible on the international testing list and in the report itself that presents the research results. The summarized results for BiH cannot serve as a performance appraisal nor as a basis for development of the eduaction system of the Republic of Srpska.
It is the responsibility of the Ministry of Education and Culture and the Pedagogical Institute to plan the participation of Republic of Srpska as an independent education system in PISA testing in 2024.
The Government of Republic of Srpska passed a Decision on approval of the plan of allocation of funds of the Ministry of Family, Youth and Sports for the period of January 1 to December 31, 2020 in total amount of BAM 595,766.19.
The funds are allocated for subsidizing the interest rate for housing loans of the young and young married couples in the amount of BAM 229,516.19, for current grants for national sports awards in the amount of 60,000.00, for current grants to public interest organizations in the amount of BAM 6,250.00 and current grants for top sports in the amount of BAM 300,000.00.
