Prime Minister of the Republic of Srpska Radovan Višković met today (12 July 2019) with Franz Schausberger, Special Advisor of the European Commission and the Advisor to the EU Commissioner for Enlargement and President of the Institute of the Regions of Europe in the Administrative Center of the Government in Banja Luka.
The meeting focused on the current political and economic situation in the Republic of Srpska and BiH with special emphasis on the security challenges due to the increased inflow of migrants to the country.
The interlocutors expressed the expectation that a new Council of Ministers of BiH would be formed very soon in order to overcome the deadlock in implementation of the reform processes in the field of economy, the business sector and resolving the issue of migrant crisis.
Prime Minister Višković informed the Special Adviser of the European Commission that the Government of the Republic of Srpska was committed to the European integration and was one of the first in BiH to fulfill its commitments in this regard.
The interlocutors also referred to the recent visit by Prime Minister Višković to Linz and the opening of a business fair where businessmen and companies from Republic of Srpska presented their potentials to the Austrian market.
Prime Minister Viskovic once again stressed that the Government of the Republic of Srpska was open to cooperation with business enterprises from the European Union which are interested in investing in the Republic of Srpska.
