Prime Minister of the Republic of Srpska Radovan Višković met in Banja Luka today with the Ambassador of the Republic of Slovenia to BiH,H.E. Zorica Bukinac.
The meeting related to the current political and economic situation in Republic of Srpska and BiH and improvement of business and economic cooperation between Slovenia and the Republic of Srpska.
Prime Minister Višković apprised Ambassador Bukinac on the activities undertaken by the Government of Republic of Srpska with regard to improvement of economic environment and support to the investors.
The interlocutors jointly noted that Slovenia was a significant foreign trade partner and that companies from Slovenia working in the Republic of Srpska achieved good business results, have a socially responsible business policy and that cooperation between local and Slovenian businessmen was a good basis for improvement of economic relations and cooperation in other sectors such as tourism, education and information technologies.
Prime Minister Višković emphasized that Republic of Srpska was committed to the European path and stressed the importance of the coordination mechanism in the EU accession process in accordance with the constitutional competencies in BiH.
It has been emphasized during the meeting that Slovenia supports the European path of BiH and is ready to provide all available support on partnership basis with regard to taking over practices and experiences related to the EU integration.
