Prime Minister Dzombic organized Reception for Students

The Prime Minister of the Republic of Srpska, Mr. Aleksandar Dzombic, today in Banjaluka organized the Reception for students who will continue their education at prestigious universities around the world.
Prime Minister Dzombic stated after the Reception that the education for these students will be financed by the Fund Dr Milan Jelic, for which purpose the Budget of the Republic of Srpska had provided around BAM 70,000.
Prime Minister Dzombic two years ago asked the Ministry of Science and Technology to design a program of co-financing the most talented students, who will continue their education at prestigious universities around the world.
"We already have that program, and we have chosen 13 graduate and doctoral students who will continue their education in the United States, Britain and Russia, and whose return to the Republic of Srpska or their stay in these countries will contribute to the Republic of Srpska", said Prime Minister Dzombic.
The Prime Minister added that the program of co-financing is a long-term project, and that "all of us should work together to promote knowledge and the Republic of Srpska, to work on the unique goal, what is politically stable, economically strong and independent the Republic of Srpska".
According to Prime Minister Dzombic, the Project will be continued in the coming years, and the funds for this purpose will be gradually increased in line with capabilities.
"At the moment, the Government does not allocate sufficient funds for science, but by the creation of policies and development strategies and RS Budget growth, that is expected in the future period, we will direct more funds, and one of the strategic directions will be education and knowledge", said Prime Minister Dzombic.
The Minister of Science and Technology of the Republic of Srpska, Mr. Jasmin Komic, who is also the President of the Fund Dr Milan Jelic said that the aim of this program activity is encouraging young and talented people to study at universities around the world.
"This is the only real certainty for the future development of scientific research, technological, economic and other developments in the Republic of Srpska. Practically, these are our Knowledge Ambassadors whose mission is to promote us and create our ties with prestigious universities, in order to motivate more of young people to go there, what will ensure the continuity of scientific-research development", said Minister Komic.
The graduate student at Harvard University, Mr. Milan Kondic, said he was very glad that the Fund Dr Milan Jelic and the Government of the Republic of Srpska are creating a platform for young people to study abroad in order to meet each other and to remain attached to Banja Luka and the Republic of Srpska.
Mr. Miroslav Popovic, who will continue his education at UC Berkeley, thanked to the Government of the Republic of Srpska and the Fund Dr Milan Jelic for the support to scientific development of young people, and welcomed the way of assisting the promotion of the Republic of Srpska in the world.
