In the course of the last year, the Government of the Republic of Srpska acting within the framework of its obligations arising from the 2019 Work Program of the National Assembly of the Republic of Srpska, forwarded 93 laws and 40 legal acts included in the thematic part of the Work Program to the National Assembly for legislative procedure.
Out of this number of laws, the Government also sent 26 laws to the National Assembly that were not planned by the Work Program of the National Assembly.
Among the laws referred above are laws that enabled salary increase in primary, secondary and higher education, culture, home affairs, judiciary, administrative bodies and other public services as well as the Law on Business Incentives, Law on Amendments to the Law on Higher Education which shall enable free study at public universities in Republic of Srpska, Law on Amendments to the Law on Property Rights, Law on Amendments to the Law on Banks and Law on Special Expropriation Procedure for the Construction of the Highway and Gas Pipeline on the sections Vukosavlje -Brčo and Brčko-Rača.
The 2019 Work Program of the National Assembly of Republic of Srpska foresaw adoption of 98 laws and legal acts. Out of the planned number, the National Assembly considered and adopted 67 laws whereas 26 laws had been proposed by the Government of Republic of Srpska, not planned by the National Assembly's Work Program.
Regarding the thematic part of the Work Program of the National Assembly of the Republic of Srpska in 2019, out of the planned 41 acts, 32 acts have been considered and enacted and additional eight acts proposed by the Government apart from the RSNA Program of work, had been adopted.
It should be emphasized that during the 5th regular session held in June 2019, the National Assembly of the Republic of Srpska adopted 35 pieces of legislation.
In the course of 2019, the Government of the Republic of Srpska and its Ministries prepared answers to 260 parliamentary questions.
