The Minister of Public Administration and Local Self-Governance of the Republic of Srpska, Lejla Resic, said that the Serbian Government Offices in the Brcko District has issued more than 13,000 of citizenship in the last three years, and the office was visited by around 5,000 people with various other requirements.
With the exception of the requirements for citizenship, Minister Resic says that most requests were for the Ministry of Refugees and Displaced Persons and to the Ministry of Labour , War Veterans and Disabled Person’s Protection of Srpska.
According to her, the demands for change of entity citizenship or the need to register in entity citizenship Line Ministry has dealt with an average of about seven days, with a fee of 10 BAM.
Resic reminded that the office of the Government of the Republic of Srpska in Brcko District reopened on 23 April 2012, with the aim to be a “closer service” for District residents who have the citizenship of Srpska.
“ The office is designed for one official to work in it, and that all other services come once a week from Banja Luka, so that the citizens of the District have the opportunity to apply directly to officials of the Government of the Republic of Srpska “, said Minister Resic.
