The EU COSME (Programme for the Competitiveness of Enterprises and SMEs) 2014-2020 Programme has launched a call for proposals on Supporting European SMEs to participate in public procurement outside EU.
The deadline to submit proposals is 15 September 2020, by 17:00 hrs.
The general objective of the call is to improve SMEs' access to public procurement in the non-Union countries with which the Union signed a bilateral or multilateral agreement covering public procurement.
The current action will co-finance the activities of business organisations supporting SMEs' internationalisation and participation in public procurement. As a result, these organisations will be able to develop their capacities to help SMEs. In this way, the organisations will be able to disseminate the acquired information in an appropriate format to the SMEs and support them in the process of bidding outside the EU, including all the aspects that this implies, such as building consortia.
The activities will be conducted in two phases:
- A preparatory phase, where each funded consortium will be requested to develop an internationalisation strategy and its implementation roadmap, based on the targeted Member States and third countries, and
- The implementation phase, where each funded consortium will apply the internationalisation strategy, gather data, promote the project and disseminate results.
The total budget of the call is EUR 2 000 000, and maximum grant per project is EUR 400 000.
This call is open to legal entities, public institutions and non-profit organisations, universities, educational institutions and research centres forming a consortium. The consortium must be composed of at least three legal entities from at least three different EU Member States or EU COSME Programme participating countries.
