​A TAIEX workshop on Establishing traineeship programmes to implement the EU Youth Guarantee – approach, methodology and practice in the EU and the Western Balkans was held in Brussels on 13 and 14 March 2023. The workshop was organized by the Directorate-General for Employment and the European Training Foundation.

The youth guarantee has been in application in the EU since 2013, and it offers the youth aged 15-29 the opportunity to improve their skills through new knowledge and enabled practice following formal education or job loss. The workshop aimed to emphasize the importance of enabling the strengthening of practical knowledge of young people so that they enter the market as competitively as possible.

The workshop was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Labour, War Veterans' and Disabled Persons' Protection, the Ministry of Education and Culture, and the Ministry of European Integration and International Cooperation.
