Prime Minister of Republic of Srpska Radovan
Višković visited today the "Hydroelectric Power Plants on the Vrbas River" in
Bočac. After the meeting with the management, Prime Minister stated that this company was very significant and profitable for the energy system of Republic of Srpska and that significant investments could be expected in future and confirmed that the approval was given for the investments planned
in Bočac and "Hydroelectric Power Plants on the Vrbas River".
"I expect that implementation of those
projects would start very soon, especially since this company has secured
financial resources within the ``Elektroprivreda Srpske'' of about 30 million BAM. These are accumulated funds that will be used for investments", Prime Minister said.
With regard to implementation of "Ada
Polje" solar power plant, Prime Minsiter Višković stated that most of the issues have
been resolved, including property affairs and funds so that this project
could possibly be completed within the next year and added that the reservoirs in Bočac recently played an important role because they accepted huge amounts of water which prevented flooding in significant number of Banja Luka settlements and
avoided major material damage.
The acting Director of "Hydroelectric Power Plant on the Vrbas River", Goran Milanović, said that future
solar power plant "Ada Polje" will have the power for
an average annual production of 11.75 gigawatt hours of electricity and would be built between the main road Banjaluka-Jajce and the left bank of the
river Vrbas, at a distance of about two kilometers downstream from the
hydroelectric dam "Bočac".
The construction of a
solar power plant is planned, which should have an average annual production of
11.75 gigawatt hours and the estimated value of the investment is around 20
million BAM, Milanovic said.
