Sector for international Cooperation performs the tasks related to the improvement of regional and international cooperation – cooperation with domestic institutions, and cooperation with regions of Europe and the world; initiates, prepares and proposes agreements and protocols for establishing and developing interregional cooperation and monitoring their implementation; prepares analyses and reports and proposes measures to improve regional and institutional cooperation; keeps a register of agreements, protocols and memoranda on cooperation with foreign entities, takes part in the preparation of international contracts and agreements on cooperation in the field of economic relations; monitors the work of BiH mixed committees for cooperation with foreign countries and coordinates the participation of representatives of the Republic of Srpska in their work; coordinates representation of the Republic of Srpska abroad; performs the tasks of normative regulation of the organization and work of representative offices of the Republic of Srpska abroad and monitors the implementation of their programs and plans, and undertakes measures and activities for their coordinated and more efficient work; maintains regular communication with the bodies of the Assembly of European Regions, manages the work of the Government's operational team for the implementation of activities within the membership of the Republic of Srpska in the Assembly of European Regions and coordinates all activities of representatives from the institutions of the Republic of Srpska involved in the work of the Board and Program of this organization; cooperates with other institutions of the European Union and non-governmental organizations; performs the tasks related to and relevant for cooperation with domestic and international organizations and institutions; closely cooperates and coordinates its work with other institutions of the Republic of Srpska and Bosnia and Herzegovina in connection with all activities within the sectoral competence; issues opinions, explanations and instructions on the application of laws and regulations related to the sectoral competence.
