Minister of Industry, Energy and Mining of the Republic of Srpska Petar Đokić and CEO of the company Building Energy from Milano Fabrizio Zago signed today in Banja Luka a Memorandum of Understanding in the realization of projects in the field of energy.

Minister Đokić said that the Republic of Srpska Government has recognized the successful long-term experience and the results of Building Energy in the construction and implementation of energy projects, and expressed satisfaction with the interest of the company to construct the solar power plants in the Republic of Srpska.

'The Government of the Republic of Srpska is ready, in accordance with the applicable regulations, to provide the company with all necessary assistance in the realization of this project,' said Minister Đokić.

He added that the Republic of Srpska wanted to strengthen its role in the electricity market​, considering the importance of the energy sector for the overall social and economic development.

Mr. Zago said that the Republic of Srpska had significant energy potential and that the project of construction of solar power plants would be one of the most important projects in the Balkans, which would contribute to strengthening the role of the Republic of Srpska in Europe.
