Minister of Industry, Energy and Mining of the Republic of Srpska Petar Đokić spoke today in Banja Luka with the German economic delegation on investment opportunities in the field of energy, renewable energy sources and energy efficiency. Minister Đokić said that the Republic of Srpska representatives would also visit Germany, so as to present concrete projects and potentials of the Republic of Srpska.
The German delegation was led by the Parliamentary State Secretary of the Ministry for Economic Cooperation Mr. Hans-Joachim Fuchtel.
Minister Đokić informed the participants of the meeting of the implementation of the Reform Agenda, stating that the Republic of Srpska so far carried out some reforms, aiming at creating a favorable business environment.
Fuchtel expressed hope that the construction of wind farm Hrgud, with a value of 60 million euros, would be successfully completed.
'This is an important energy project,' said Fuhtel and recalled that many valuable projects have been recently implemented, primarily in the field of water management.
He concluded that the constructive cooperation of all partners was very important for specific projects to be implemented.
The meeting was also attended by the Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany to BiH, H.E. Hellbach Christian, Director of KfW in BiH Mr. Matthias Schmidt-Rosen, and Director of the German Corporation for International Cooperation (GIZ) Mr. Heuel-Rolf.
