The Minister of Scientific and Technological Development and Higher Education of the Republic of Srpska, Prof. Draga Mastilović PhD, said that the Republic of Srpska would continue to invest in science because it is the backbone of technological development.

Speaking ahead of the ceremonial academy marking the 30th anniversary of the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Mathematics in Banja Luka, Minister Mastilović said that, with more than 500 students and over 80 teaching staff, the Faculty had grown into a respected educational and scientific institution.

"I congratulate them on everything they have achieved over the past 30 years," the Minister said.

The Dean of the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Mathematics, Goran Trbić, expressed his gratitude for the support and said that he was proud of the work of his younger colleagues.

He noted that more than 2,500 students had studied at the Faculty over the years.

The Faculty of Natural Sciences and Mathematics is one of the most important scientific and educational institutions of the University of Banja Luka, contributing to the development of higher education, scientific research and professional practice in numerous fields of the natural and mathematical sciences.

The Faculty of Natural Sciences and Mathematics in Banja Luka was established in 1996.
