Prime Minister of the Republic of Srpska Savo Minić
spoke today with representatives of dairy farmers, the President of the Dairy
Farmers Association of the Republic of Srpska Milorad Arsenić and the President
of the Assembly of this Association Ante Šipovac, after they sent an official
request for a meeting with the Prime Minister.
Prime Minister Minić expressed his satisfaction with
the agreement reached between dairy farmers and the relevant ministry which
refers to the amount of the premium for a liter of milk taht had been agreed to be 30 pfennigs and up
to BAM per dairy head. The funds will be provided by reallocation within the
budget intended for dairy farmers.
The Prime Minister thanked the dairy farmers representatives
for their understanding and emphasized the importance of the fact that the
challenges were overcome through dialogue. He added that the Government and the Ministry of Agriculture would continuously monitor the situation and that additional
steps would be taken to ensure that dairy farmers have the best possible
conditions for producing and marketing milk on the domestic market.
Representatives of the Dairy Farmers Association of
Republic of Srpska thanked Prime Minister Minić for the reception, adding that
the most important thing for producers was to maintain the regularity of the
payment of incentives.
In attendance of the meeting was also the Minister of
Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management of Republic of Srpska Anđelka Kuzmić.
