Prime Minister of the Republic of Srpska Savo Minić opened
today new biochemical and hematological laboratory in Bijeljina hospital "Sveti Vračevi", which is one of the most modern in the region.
The new laboratory in which about one million BAM was
invested, will significantly improve the work of the Bijeljina hospital and
with this new equipment it would be possible to process up to 1,000 samples in
an hour.

emphasized that hospital in Bijeljina was the first, after the University Clinical
Center of the Republic of Srpska, to receive such equipment which was very important not only for Bijeljina,
but also for the entire region, especially since the new equipment enables
rapid diagnostics, which can be crucial in emergency interventions.
The Prime Minister also visited the construction site of the works on
the Bijeljina – Rača highway section today. Speaking about the dynamics of the highway
construction, Minić assessed that it was a national project and that it was
necessary to intensify the works. He urged holding of the meeting between
representatives of the Ministry of Transport and Communications, Public Attorney's Office, Republic Administration for Geodesy, public enterprise "Autoputevi",
contractors and supervisory authorities, at which the dynamics of the works
will be discussed.
During a tour of the completed route of the Drina
Embankment, which is of key importance for the defense of Semberija from floods,
Minić emphasized that the works must be completed on the entire section of the embankment and
that no political animosity must stand in the way of this project.
Director of public enterprise "Vode Srpske" Miroslav
Milovanović emphasized that Bijeljina City Administration was expected to
resolve property and legal relations so that construction could be resumed for
which the project documentation from 2016 existed, but has been stalled.
'We expect the City
Administration to resolve property relations in the zone of the designed
route of the Drina Embankment very soon and the Government has provided the funds so that we
could start public procurement procedures, selection of contractors and the works', Milovanović said.
