Prime Minister of the Republic of Srpska Radovan Višković
and the Minister of Finance Zora Vidović met in Banja Luka today with the IMF
Resident Representative for Bosnia and Herzegovina Andrew Jewell.
They spoke about the past and future cooperation between
the Government and the International Monetary Fund and current economic
situation noting positive indicators of economic growth in the Republic of
Srpska.
Prime Minister Višković pointed out that the current, very
positive economic figures in the Republic of Srpska were the result of the
Government's measures during the pandemic which aimed to support the health sector
and the real sector.
The Prime Minister underlined that timely and
efficient measures of the Government of the Republic of Srpska saved jobs and employment,
business and the economy of Republic of Srpska.
The Prime Minister informed Mr. Jewell about the Budget
Rebalance for this year emphasizing that the tax revenues were about 238 million higher
than the Budget planned for 2021.

Resident Representative in BiH Andrew Jewell for the IMF's financial assistance of 200 million provided to the Republic of Srpska.
The IMF Resident Representative in BiH praised the measures of the Government of the Republic of Srpska that helped
the economy and the health sector during the pandemic assessing that the
measures of the Government gave a successful response to the COVID-19 crisis.
In today's meeting, the interlocutors also talked about
immunization of the population against the coronavirus and emphasized the need
to vaccinate as many citizens as possible as the most efficient way to overcome
the current pandemic.
