Prime Minister of the Republic of Srpska Savo Minić
spoke today in Banja Luka with the United Kingdom's Special Envoy for the
Western Balkans, Karen Pierce.
During the meeting Ms. Pierce and the Prime Minister
exchanged views about the current political and economic situation, with a
special focus on the European Integration process.
The United Kingdom's Special Envoy for the Western
Balkans expressed the United Kingdom's support for BiH's path towards the
European Union and for resolving all open issues.
In a meeting it has been assessed that compliance with
the Dayton Peace Agreement was the key framework and guarantor for the
functioning of BiH.
Prime Minister Savo Minić thanked for the support
expressed by the United Kingdom, and stated that this diplomatic visit was very
important for Republic of Srpska and Bosnia and Herzegovina and sending a
clear message while adding that all open issues must be resolved through a
dialogue between domestic political factors.
At the meeting, mutual interest was expressed in
continuing cooperation aimed at further progress of Republic of Srpska and
Bosnia and Herzegovina, while respecting the equality of all constituent
peoples.
In attendance of today's meeting was also the
Ambassador of the United Kingdom to Bosnia and Herzegovina, Mr. Julian Reilly.
