The third meeting of the Council for Development, tasked to prepare a set of system measures for further
development of Republic of Srpska was held today at the Government of Republic
of Srpska in Banja Luka and Prime
Minister Savo Minić participated at the meeting.
The
Council would soon present concrete proposals for system measures across
several sectors following extensive, months-long consultations that involved
over 400 experts from 14 different fields.
Prime Minister Minić
commended the Council’s efforts in developing specific, growth-oriented
measures targeted to contribute and facilitate the progress in various sectors of the society.
"This is the result
of work by experts from different fields who have spent months identifying
problems and formulating concrete proposals to address them. We have completed
months of dedicated work, during which more than 400 individuals from various
backgrounds, including agronomists, farmers, businesspeople, athletes and
university professors participated in 16 round-table discussions", the Prime Minister said.
During those meetings, the Council identified priorities for development of new projects in the following areas: technological advancement
of the economy, digitalization of public administration, measures to improve
conditions within the food industry, tourism, sports, and culture, as well as a
series of proposals for system support for young people.
The Council for Development was established by a
Government decision in February this year as
an advisory body tasked to define and promote the development priorities
of Republic of Srpska and to advise the Government about the ways and methods on how to achieve those.
