Sustainable Development Goals (Agenda 2030)

The Sustainable Development Goals are a comprehensive plan of the United Nations aimed at eradicating poverty, solving climate change issues, ensuring peace, and fighting inequality. Although specified as 17 individual goals, they are interconnected and constitute a whole, the achievement of which will enable a better quality of life in a safer and sustainable world.

The Sustainable Development Goals are an ambitious and complex project. Their achievement within the set period (year 2030) requires active and dedicated participation of governments and institutions, as well as acting in partnership with civil society organizations, citizens, and the private sector.

The Government of the Republic of Srpska cooperates intensively with the United Nations and partner agencies to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals. Multiple occasions saw expression of satisfaction with the cooperation with the United Nations, which takes place while respecting the competences of all levels of government.

The first Voluntary Review on the implementation of the 2030 Agenda and the Sustainable Development Goals in BiH was prepared in April 2019, systematically presenting the activities and results in SDGs achievement until then.
